Congregation of St. Paul has finally gotten the opportunity to hold worship and other events in the church building. Unfortunately, fire security system had not been maintained and was not operational. The Church received an order, prohibiting any mass activities in the church building until the issue with fire security system is solved.
A quick settlement of the maintenance issue was possible thanks to AUTODOC company, which donated funds for purchasing new parts for the system and repairing broken equipment.
As the result, on 15 August the congregation held a church service conducted by pastor Alexander Gross. In his sermon he covered the topic of grace and its role in every believer’s life.
The church service was accompanied by wonderful organ music played by Veronika Struk. During the service a big Easter candle was installed – a gift from Regensburg Dekanat and Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Bavaria. A renewed council of congregation of St. Paul was blessed fir the ministry and now holds the responsibility over the church life of Lutherans in Odesa.
Also, Anna, Veronika and Maria Rotaenko were baptized at that same day.
