The time for prayers for peace is over. It’s time to pray for a just peace.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. (Ps. 89:14)
This morning Putin’s regime launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Military objects were bombed by aircraft and cruise missiles, and troops attacked the territory of Ukraine from the east, north and south. This act of aggression made a peaceful solution impossible.
We are grateful for all the prayers for peace in Ukraine, which sounded from believers all over the world. We really hoped that the aggressor would be reasonable, and that a non-military solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would be found, and thus save thousands of lives, as well as the opportunity for our country to develop. Unfortunately, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the order to attack Ukraine, and this is equal to a declaration of war.
Therefore, we urge to pray not just for peace, but for a just peace, the result of which will be the expulsion of the aggressor from all occupied territories and fair punishment for the crimes committed,
Until this happens, we call on all citizens of Ukraine capable of military service to take part in the defense of the country, and everyone else to provide assistance and support to those who find themselves in a difficult situation.
We ask our brothers and sisters abroad for diplomatic and informational support for Ukraine, as well as to provide our peaceful citizens with all kinds of humanitarian aid. And we also ask you to join in prayer for a just peace for Ukraine!
May the Lord save us!
