Yesterday, October 10, a warehouse in the Zazimsky territorial community of the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, where humanitarian aid from the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession of Slovakia was stored, was damaged because of shelling. One person died and several more were injured. The German Evangelical Lutheran congregation of St. Catherine, together with the “Vilni sertsem” Charitable Foundation and local volunteers, supports the population in Kyiv, Bila Tserkva, as well as in the villages of Kyiv and Chernihiv regions affected by the Russian invasion. The volunteer formation of the Zazimskaya TС also delivered aid to the frontline zone.
“As a result of the attack, a warehouse employee, Sergey, was killed, who left behind a wife and two children, two employees are in the hospital with burns, and several others received minor injuries.
Three tons of foodstuffs and other goods donated by Slovak Lutherans through the Lutheran community of Petrodolinskoe were burned in the fire. Glory to God, our partners were able to share the same volume before the attack,” says Lydia Tselsdorf, president of the St. Catherine`s congregation.
