On June 12, 2022, the Lutheran Church of St. Catherine in Kyiv held the Sunday worship service on the Day of the Holy Trinity!

This service was even more special thanks to the sermon of Pastor Ralf Haska, who came from Germany to visit the congregation. There were also guests from the World Lutheran Federation and the Council of Germans in Ukraine. Together we prayed for peace in Ukraine and for defenders of Ukraine.

After the service, a charity concert took place, during which all the participants got acquainted with the representatives of the “Free at Heart” Charitable Foundation. Representatives of the charitable organization, together with members of the Lutheran community of St. Catherine and the Society of Germans in Kyiv “Wiedergeburt”, have already organized a project together – trips with humanitarian aid to the villages of the Chernihiv region.

Before the concert, the representatives of the “Free at Heart” Charitable Foundation Ponomar Lyudmila and Minyailo Tatiana shared the story of the foundation and gave a report on all the good deeds of the foundation. The masterly performance of the pieces during the charity concert program by Pavel Shevel was accompanied by a video, and photo reports of the trip with humanitarian aid to the villages of the Chernihiv region, members of the foundation, and the church representative Lidia Tselsdorf.

A trip with humanitarian aid is currently planned to the villages of Viktorovka, Budy, and Sloboda in the Chernihiv region. The proceeds will be used to food with longer shelf life for people in the affected villages.

We thank everyone who was with this today! May God keep you and your family safe!
